With a history that stretches back to the early 1900s, Rudy’s Tavern continues to bring the comforts of a neighborhood bar in East Stroudsburg, PA. Its dark wood walls, checkered tile floors, classic arcade games and hometown feel make Rudy’s Tavern the perfect spot to watch a game, celebrate with friends and family or just kick back and enjoy happy hour. These days, Rudy’s Tavern is proud to have good food, good beer and good entertainment all at a great price.
Rudy’s Tavern hasn’t changed much since its founder, Rudy Manheim, poured the bar’s first beer. Rudy’s Tavern received one of Pennsylvania’s first liquor licenses back when prohibition ended in 1933.
When Rudy passed away in 1981, he left the bar to one his bartenders, Denny Deardorff. Denny went to East Stroudsburg University and then joined the Marine Corp and fought in Vietnam. Stop in and check out our trophy case with the Marine Corp memorabilia from him and our customers.
Along with Stroud Area Regional Police Department, we help Monroe County families in need have a great Christmas when that may not have been possible any other way.
